WEDDINGS IN TUSCANY

Tuscany is a charmed land, equally blessed by the genius of man and nature, and often by the combined efforts of both.

Think of the vineyards: rows of baby green vines that manage somehow to march in arrow-straight formation up the gently rolling hillsides, bounded by single files of darker green cypress trees, snaking sandy roads leading to rust-colored farmhouses and moss-coated castles, symmetrically rounded hilltops surmounted by towns so homogeneous as to seem one single building.

Every inch of land has been sculpted, first by the elements and then by generations of inhabitants whose goals were always twofold: make the land produce as much as possible, make the land as beautiful as possible. These are only few of the reasons why many couples have already decided to get married in Tuscany.

Tuscany enchants us today because it holds together as a region, from the tiniest hamlet to Florence the Magnificent. For the living proof, take a short walk one day along the sides of the Belvedere in Florence: you will leave behind the traffic and suddenly find yourself strolling down quiet lanes bounded by tall stone walls, cypress trees and creamy-colored villas.

You could be anywhere in Tuscany, and we dare you not to fantasize about living here. Chocoweddings, Tuscany wedding planner, will help you navigate through Tuscan world-famed attractions, but it will also introduce you to some of its lesser-known jewels and help you to choose the perfect location for your wedding in TuscanyOur wedding planners offer assitance for your Catholic, Civil or Symbolic wedding in Tuscany.

CIVIL CEREMONIES IN THE TOWN HALL: Certainly the most popular type of ceremony requested. If you have previously visited Tuscany you will already know just how beautiful the town halls are. They are usually adorned with priceless works of art or have frescoed ceilings or intimate little courtyards where you can hold your wedding ceremony. Each town hall is unique and provides an exceptional, romantic setting for your wedding in Tuscany. There are requirements to be met but it is highly unlikely that a couple would be refused a civil, legally binding ceremony in Italy. You are free to choose whichever Italian Town Hall you prefer. Some of the most popular are: San Gimignano Town Hall, Certaldo Town Hall, Florence, Town Hall, Siena Town Hall and all of the Chianti Town Halls and Cortona.

Wedding Tuscany

It is possible to celebrate civil wedding inside the famous Abbey of San Galgano.
This Abbey has a deeply spiritual and mystic meaning attached to it. It was built in the 12th century by the Cistercians monks to honour Galgano Guidotti known as Saint Galgano once a warrior who decided to abandon a dissolute way of life and embrace a life of more spiritual meaning.
To symbolize his rejection of war, he supposedly plunged his sword into the rock, which miraculously “parted like butter”, leaving only the hilt exposed to form the shape of the Cross. The swords is kept in the Chapel of Montesiepi at walking distance from the Abbey. The history of the Abbey and the surrounding countryside makes this a pure romantic and spiritual place for  your wedding in Tuscany!
