Rome: the capital of Italy, the eternal city.
A decidedly symbolic location for your wedding: a breathtaking destination to welcome the promise of forever.
Its history, natural beauty, and authentic beauty will make your wedding day magical in a refined and unique environment.
Getting married in Rome
In Rome, you can celebrate a religious wedding in splendid churches decorated with bright stained glass windows and characteristic ancient frescoes.
The list is potentially endless, but to give some examples: St. Peter’s Basilica in the Choir Chapel, St. Anne’s Basilica in the Vatican, the Basilica of Santa Maria in Ara Coeli, the Church of Santa Maria in Trastevere or the Basilica of San Giovanni e Paolo al Celio.
For a civil ceremony, however, it is impossible not to mention the Red Room in the Campidoglio, one of the most sought-after locations, or the deconsecrated church of the Vignola Mattei Complex, not very large but very impressive.
For a more intimate and romantic wedding ceremony, Villa Lais is the perfect choice! It’s a 19th-century former chapel complete with frescoes and surrounded by a lush park, ideal for photos. The villa is only twenty minutes by car from the historic centre of Rome.
If what you have always dreamed of is a symbolic wedding, you can choose between the different possibilities that this splendid city has to offer. For example, a historic Villa with an exciting view of Rome, appropriate for an outdoor ceremony with terraces and gardens, or a magnificent Palace as a noble historical residence.
There are also castles, both inside and outside of the capital, which are stunning and very romantic!
In addition to its historical and metropolitan views, the city is an incredible setting for photography and videography.
The Giardino Degli Aranci, a park that offers a wonderful view over the rooftops of Rome and green spaces, the most famous Pincio, overlooking Piazza del Popolo, the Via Appia Antica, one of the most scenic streets in Rome, the Gianicolofrom which it is possible to see the dome of San Pietro.
Other more famous monuments, such as the Colosseum or the Pantheon, do not need any introduction.
The ideal times to celebrate your wedding in Rome are May, the most generous month from both a climatic and floral point of view, and September. This is when the heat subsides but the days are still long.
